Erwin Stover House
The Erwin-Stover House was erected in 1810 by William Erwin, a War of Independence veteran and major landowner in Bucks County. Additions to the home were constructed in 1860 by Henry Stover and in 1880 by his son, Jacob. The 12-room home, which is furnished with antiques.
On display will be a special exhibit on the native american origins of this property and the surrounding region and the events that led to the infamous walking purchase.
The restored historic house barn and outbuildings became part of Tinicum Park in 1955 when the Bucks County Parks and Recreation Commission obtained the property.
