We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel. Our hearts break for the innocent victims, including babies and children, who were brutally murdered by cowardly Hamas terrorists in acts of pure evil. The harrowing images and reports we’ve seen are unthinkable and barbaric.
To be clear, we will not tolerate any false equivalence: Israel is a democratic country and America’s closest ally in the Middle East. Hamas is an extremist terrorist organization and does not represent the Palestinian people.
We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to our Jewish friends and neighbors in Bucks County who have deep religious, cultural, and familial ties to Israel. Please know that we support you and grieve with you. In a gesture of unity and remembrance, we will light the rotunda of the county Administration Building in blue and white.
And while we pray for peace in a land that has such a sacred value to so many people in the world from many diverse backgrounds and religions, we must remain vigilant against those whose blind hatred exceeds their humanity.
