A 40-year-old woman was charged with killing her husband Tuesday morning at the Bristol Borough Wharf.
Sammar Khan, of Levittown, was arraigned on charges of criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person. She appeared before Magisterial District Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr. who remanded her to Bucks County Correctional Facility without bail.
Bristol Borough Police were dispatched at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday to the Bristol Borough Wharf, 1 Mill Street, for a report of a shooting. At the time, the park was occupied by multiple people.
Officers arrived and located a female, later identified as Khan, at the scene and observed blood on her clothing. Police also located a male, identified as 38-year-old Faisal Iqbal, lying in a grassy area southeast of the parking lot. Iqbal had visible gunshot injuries and a gun was found nearby. The Bucks County Rescue Squad responded to the scene and determined that Iqbal was deceased.
