Come celebrate opening day at the Erwin Stover House with special guests, the Millstone River Morris Dancers! They will be performing traditional English folk dance with sticks, handkerchiefs and bells to live music followed by a dance beneath the maypole. Do you want to try the dances yourself? All visitors who would like to join in the dancing are welcome to participate. We will also be honoring the Lenape Sachem, Tamanend, just as the Continental Congress did in 1777, when they declared May 1st as St. Tammany Day. Tamanend was the indigenous leader who signed the treaty with William Penn in 1683 and whom the members of the Continental Congress considered the Patron Saint of America.
