Prepare for an exciting, fast-paced career in Emergency Medical
Services or Critical Care Transport
The JeffSTAT Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN) Training Program is an intense, 14-week program
that prepares the experienced Registered Nurse accustomed to practicing in a controlled environment to
practice in an autonomous, chaotic, out-of-hospital setting. PHRN students will gain the skills and
knowledge necessary to deliver life-saving, emergency care under the guidance of extensive treatment
protocols developed by the system medical director along with online medical direction. As a PHRN,
you’ll be part of team practicing in 911-based EMS system or Critical Care Transport service providing
ground and flight services to critical patients. Our program will prepare students to take the both the
National Registry EMT practical exam and the Paramedic Assessment CBT exam.

? Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation
(ECMO) Training
? Ventricular Assist Device and Balloon Pump
Training
? Clinical experience at Thomas Jefferson
Hospitals
? Field internship with JeffSTAT Flight and
Ground Critical Care service and local 911
EMS agencies
Prerequisites
? Current PA RN license in good standing with
no disciplinary actions
? 2 years of ED or ICU experience
? Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS and
PALS.
Course Schedule: Every Wednesday, 8am-5pm
starting January 10th for approx. 12 weeks.
Tuition: $3,850 (includes $500 registration fee,
required texts and uniform shirt)
