QPR is a free, two-hour long training that helps people understand and recognize when someone is going through a mental health crisis. QPR teaches how to recognize some of the clues, warning signs, and suicidal communications of someone who is in trouble. QPR is not a form of counseling or treatment - it is intended to offer hope through positive action, and give people the skills to act vigorously to prevent a possible tragedy.
Bucks County is proud to report that over 4,000 people in our community have been trained as QPR Gatekeepers, who are merchants of hope - and hope helps prevent suicides.
