About the Committee
The Bucks County Local Emergency Planning Committee was organized to implement the requirements of Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986. We are dedicated to enhancing community safety and preparedness through developing hazardous materials awareness, planning for hazardous materials emergency response and encouraging partnerships between the community and industry. We work for and with the emergency response organizations, industry and the community.
We are also responsible to carry out the provisions of Section 203 of the Pennsylvania Hazardous Material Emergency Planning and Response Act, Act 1990-165 within the geographical boundaries of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
