Restrictive Probation Program

Purpose

The purpose of the program is to provide operational structure to an available sentencing alternative for defendants convicted of certain non-violent offenses.  The program adheres to the guidelines set forth in statutory language and focuses on protecting the community, promoting individual accountability and positive behavioral change.

Application

Defendants that are interested in being considered for the program must complete a Restrictive Probation Application (PDF) and return it to the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole Department by mail (USPS), email, fax or in person at least 30 days prior to sentencing.

The application will be reviewed by an RP officer to determine eligibility.  Information related to that determination will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office, the Defense Counsel and The Court. Please note that confirmation of eligibility does not guarantee placement.
