Special Operations

Bucks County Special Operations is tasked with the responsibility of responding to, and mitigating a Hazardous Material Release within the county. The office is comprised of 2 paid staff and 32 volunteers. Our mission is to maintain our training and equipment to protect lives and the environment in Bucks County. Bucks County Special Operations provides assistance to emergency services within the county in the form of technical advice and training.

Off-Site Emergency Response Plans

Bucks County Special Operations maintains the Off-Site Emergency Response Plans for over 200 chemical facilities within the county. These plans are required under SARA Title III, The Community Right-To-Know act. Facilities should email Bucks County Local Emergency Planning Committee for chemical safety inquiries.
