- Upper Bucks Rail Trail
The Upper Bucks Rail Trail is a 3.2 mile long, 12’ wide multiuse trail that connects Veterans Park in Richland Township to the very popular Saucon Rail Trail in Lehigh and Northampton counties. It is part of Appalachian Mountain Club Pennsylvania Highlands Regional Trails Network and was a cooperative effort between Bucks County and Richland and Springfield townships.
It also connects The Circuit Trails, an 800 mile bicycle network in the Delaware Valley, with THE LINK Trails network in the Lehigh Valley.
It was Bucks County’s first Rails to Trail Project and it utilizes SEPTA’s former Bethlehem Branch. One of unique aspects of this trail is an 800’ boardwalk that spans an area of wetlands near Springfield Street in Springfield Township.
