Public Housing/Section 8
The Bucks County Housing Authority (BCHA) provides affordable public housing for eligible households as well with developments throughout Bucks County. BCHA manages the Section 8 (Housing Choice Voucher) Program: 215.348.9469 info@bucksha.org

Applications are being accepted for the following Voucher programs:
Mainstream Voucher Program: Eligible applicants include non-elderly (under age 62) disabled individuals. Applicants must qualify under one of the following categories:
- Literally Homeless – living in places not meant for human habitation: on the street/in car, abandoned building, parks; emergency shelter or
- Transitioning out of an institution or other congregate setting or
- Living in housing that is funded by a public/private agency and the funding assistance is time-limited.
To apply: Individuals must pick up an application at the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program office, located at 240 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA between the hours of 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon and 2:00 P.M.- 3:30 P.M. Applicants may also receive applications by mail by calling 215-945-6110 between the hours of 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon and 2:00 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. Completed applications must be returned to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program office at the above address, either by hand or mail

Emergency Housing Voucher Program (EHV):
BCHA via Housing Link is now accepting applications for its EHV Program in accordance with the following:
A limited number of applications for Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) are available to households working with the Housing Link. In order to qualify, applicants must be homeless, fleeing abuse, assault, stalking or human trafficking or are in a Housing Link Program where an EHV voucher will prevent homelessness/housing instability. If you meet one of these criteria, contact Housing Link at 1-800-810-4434.
Currently, there is a waitlist for EHVs.
Family Unification Voucher Program (FUP):
The FUP program waiting list solely for families that qualify for a HUD Family Unification Program (FUP) Voucher. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a client with Bucks County Children & Youth Social Services Agency
- Is the the parent or guardian of a child/children who is already placed outside the family home and stable housing is the primary reason for the delay in reunification.
- Is the parent or guardian for one or more children who is/are at risk of being placed outside the family home and stable housing is the primary reason for the placement
- Is a youth that the Bucks County Children & Youth Social Services Agency can certify is between 18 – 24 years old, and who has left foster care/will leave foster care within 90 days, and is homeless or is at risk of becoming homeless. Applicants must contact their Children and Youth Caseworker for an application. Our office doesn’t distribute the applications for FUP vouchers. Completed applications must be returned to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program office at the above address, either by hand or mail, effective 9:00 am on May 21, 2019. Applications will not be accepted prior to that time and date.
Family Complexes (Conventional Waiting List):
One waiting list (Conventional Waiting List) is maintained for four buildings in lower Bucks County: Bensalem Woods, Grundy Gardens, Grundy Tower, and MacIntosh Regency. When a unit becomes available in one of these buildings, the unit is offered to the first eligible applicant at the top of this list. Separate waiting lists are not maintained and applicants cannot choose a building. If an applicant is not interested in the unit offered, they can refuse and have their name removed from the list, or they can have their name returned to the bottom of the waiting list.
