Advocates for the Homeless & Those in Need (AHTN): Services include emergency shelter, rental and move-in assistance, prescriptions, utility assistance, legal documents, transportation to mental health and doctors' appointments, thrift stores, food pantries, drug court, laundromat, Code Blue, Wheels to Meals, Rejuvenation Station, and Those In Need. The Bucks County Opportunity Council Housing Services program is to help people in Bucks County overcome barriers (homelessness, eviction, or utility shutoff) to self-sufficiency and limit future need for help. An experienced Self-Sufficiency Coach will work with clients to assess the emergency, stabilize the situation and develop a plan to prevent future emergencies. Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless provides shelter on Code Blue nights and also makes every effort to link the homeless and financially distressed to needed resources. All work is done in a spirit of respect for the individual, and without regard to gender, race, nationality, sexual orientation, and religious or political beliefs. If in need of shelter during a Code Blue emergency, call the Bucks County Housing Link at 1-800-810-4434. For assistance when the Code Blue shelter is closed, call 1-866-390-0291 x 703. Family Service Association of Bucks County offers a variety of programs and services focused on increasing opportunities for adults, protecting seniors, reducing substance use, improving the lives of those with mental illness, preparing children and adolescents for the future, improving the quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS and much more.
